For the longest time I’d been resistant to the idea of putting up a page listing some of the well-known users of Fade In. People kept saying “You should do this!” And I kept saying “Well…” and not doing it.
First of all: I’m pretty terrible at self-promotion — or any kind of promotion. There were a couple of other reasons, but, well, that was the main one. Admittedly, though, I’m proud of the fact that such talented and creative people are happy to be using the software — and are using it to create such great work — and that they’re recommending it to others. And I also think there’s a real benefit for screenwriters in knowing that their options for choosing a writing tool aren’t limited to one (other) piece of software that proclaims itself the “industry standard”.
So, that said, here is the page.
If I missed you it means one of: (a) I didn’t have your email address; (b) I was too shy to ask; or (c) I wasn’t sure if you were using Fade In in production yet — because as much as I’d like to include __________ and __________, those movies were written before their writers switched to Fade In. Or maybe I just haven’t gotten to you yet, because it’s a work in progress.
(But if I did miss you, by all means let me know.)
