The ultimatum: Refund or else…

The user had a problem with being unable to reopen saved files. This was something I’d never heard of before, but thought it might potentially be due to a peculiarity of workflow that might be diagnosed by finding out more about what exactly had precipitated the problem, and possibly by taking a look at the unopenable file. I also suggested that he contact Apple to ask for a refund, as there is some recourse for when a purchased product is “not as expected”. I did not, at that time, realize that he had bought the software more than a year earlier.
